With my preparations for Saturday's wedding almost complete, I took a quick walk to watch the Tour of Britain cyclists pass through the village on stage 6 of the race, from Bath to Hemel Hempstead.

I considered walking to Pewsey and trying to get some shots with the crowds of spectators too, but I didn't really have enough spare time, so opted instead to catch the race as it headed along the B3087 between Pewsey and Milton Lilbourne.

This was my first attempt at cycle photography, a bit outside my normal area of operations, but was great fun and I hope to get the chance to do more in the future. Although there were only a dozen or so of us watching from the same spot, the excitement was fantastic, and I'm told by friends that the atmosphere in Devizes and Pewsey was amazing.

Anyhow, here's a few photos, nothing to set the world alight but enough to whet my appetite to have another go in the future with a bit more planning! The wide angle shots are also out of sequence, I realised after that the time on my cameras had somehow got out of sync, off to sort that now!
